Licensed Clinical Forensic Psychologist
License # PSY 30342
I am a Clinical Forensic Psychologist, licensed with the California Board of Psychological (PSY30342). I attended the University of California, Irvine where I eared my BA degree in Psychology and Social Behavior with an emphasis in Criminology. I earned my MA and Psy.D. in Clinical Forensic Psychology at Alliant International University. Additionally, I am specifically trained in the prevention of campus and workplace violence, risk assessment, substance abuse, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, and military paramilitary and their families.
My goal as a therapist is to work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their personal goals for growth, healing, and change. I strive to create a supportive, therapeutic environment where my clients feel understood and safe. How we think about our experiences can greatly influence how we feel and act. When we feel our quality of life is poor, anxiety, worry and depression can emerge. In some cases, biological factors can also lead to alterations in mood. I believe most problems are complex and most of my clients understand something deeper is going on that keeps them stuck, both personally and professionally. I strive to help my clients identify, understand the change the patterns that keep them from reaching their true potential. I am eclectic in my approach to therapy and adapt to the individual needs of each of my clients. My theoretical framework for clinical practice is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with influences from Psychodynamic and Humanistic psychology. Treatment is present focused, helping clients discover what they can do now to change.
